From BGCI’s office in Kenya, we work with our network of botanic garden, nursery and restoration partners in the country to protect populations of threatened trees in their natural habitats, propagate seedlings for restoration projects and to establish secure collections in botanic gardens for conservation and education.
More than 120 tree species are threatened with extinction in Kenya. Help us save them.
Botanic Gardens Conservation International’s work aims to promote and develop a more efficient, cost effective and rational approach to plant conservation in botanic gardens. We will do this by leading and advocating, leading innovative and strategic projects, building plant conservation capacity, and providing funding.
